Start your year and your first weeks of 2025 off with more presence than ever in this exciting new offering. Hosted by Take Roots founder, Christine Northrup, this group is being offered to folks in long-term recovery from their eating disorder. In this group, we will explore what it means to be living as a recovered person or person in long-term recovery and how we can live more fully in our present lives while embracing and honoring the history that will always be with us? Each group will include an embodiment practice, goal identification, discussion and intention setting.
Christine is thrilled to be leading this long time dream of a group. She will be showing up as both a licensed therapist and recovered person in this space as she guides, what we hope will be, a powerful and grounding process that deepens your connection to your own wisdom.

This 6-session virtual group running through November and December will provide a supportive, therapist-led space for individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community with eating disorders to explore the challenges of the holiday season and to receive peer and therapist support. Topics covered may shift based on the needs of the group, but will likely include boundary setting, self-care, community care, skills for meals, navigating diet culture during holiday events, and more. This group is led through a Health at Every Size, fat-positive lens and aims to create a safe container for all participants.
Jordan Poole, LCMHC, “JP” (She/ her) will be leading this group. JP has extensive experience as a group therapist and the bulk of her experience has been leading eating disorder treatment groups. She specializes in Eating Disorders and therapeutic work with individuals struggling with a variety of issues surrounding sexual and gender identity. JP is passionate about understanding the complexities of the intersections between food/ body challenges and gender and sexuality. She created this group to serve individuals living in such intersections as she believes group therapy to be a tool of radical change.
Groups will be held virtually on the following Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm: 11/8, 11/15, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13, 12/20
$40 per group session if paying weekly, $200 if paying in full by 11/8. We ask all group participants to commit to the full 6 weeks as it helps to establish safety and cohesion in the group.
